Scaffolding and Working at Heights
When there is a risk of falling that may be liable to cause personal injury, the working environment must comply with the Work at Height Regulations 2005. These regulations place duties on all members of staff; including employees, supervisors, managers and building owners who may employ others to work at height.
To fully comply with these guidelines, delegates must guarantee that:
- All work at height is planned and prepared in advance;
- All employees involved are competent and confident with working at height;
- Risks are properly assessed and the correct equipment is selected;
- Risks of working on or around fragile surfaces are suitably controlled;
- Equipment used to work at height is thoroughly inspected and well maintained.
Here at Apple Construction Training we provide high-quality training courses to help candidates understand the key elements and dangers of working at height. We provide scaffolding training and scaffold inspection courses too, as well as guidance on other equipment inspection.
