Confined Spaces

The following courses are for individuals who are required to enter, supervise or manage confined spaces. A confined space is an area which is significantly enclosed (not always entirely) and where there is a risk of low oxygen levels, serious injury and/or hazardous substances within the space. Most confined spaces are relatively easy to identify, such as enclosures with limited/single openings and spaces with minimal ventilation.

Here at Apple Construction Training we provide candidates with high-quality training modules, supplying a thorough understanding of how to work within restricted conditions.

All courses can be delivered as tailored in-house courses or accredited City and Guilds courses.

We have a purpose built tunnel in Fenny Compton, Warwickshire but can deliver on your premises too.

We are proud to offer the following confined spaces training courses:

Confined Spaces Entry and Rescue – 4 Days

This course is intended for individuals who are expected to work in confined spaces; candidates may also be required to rescue debilitated workers from within a confined area. This course includes the use of emergency escapes, breathing apparatus and gas monitors.

Confined Spaces Entry Refresher – 2 Days

This course will provide candidates who have previously completed the new entrant four-day course, with time to go through safe systems of work and ensure safe use of confined space equipment.

Confined Spaces for Contractors – 2 Days

This two-day course highlights the obligations of the Confined Space Regulations and the implications of the Code of Practice when working in a confined space environment. It includes practical hands on use of gas monitors and breathing apparatus.

Confined Spaces for Supervisors – 1 Day

This one day programme highlights the responsibilities of the entry Supervisor under the relevant regulations and the insinuation of the Code of Practice whilst working within a confined space environment. An entry supervisor is anyone authorised by an employer to sanction or directly supervise entry operations in a permit space.
